The western wall, the Archeological site in Israel, is the most religious wall in the world for Jewish people. This Wailing wall is located in the old city of Jerusalem. In Islam, it is known as Buraq Wall, is an ancient limestone wall in Jerusalem.
It was built by King Herod in 20 BCE was erected as a part of the expansion of the Second Jewish Temple. It is not only a wall but a site for Jewish people to worship. The area around the wall has been changing and modifying rapidly. Now there is a western wall plaza around the wall, which catches the attraction of tourists for shopping opportunities.
About the western wall:
The western wailing wall is about 48 meters long and is a site for worship to Jerusalem. The whole length of the wall is not available to tourists because a major portion of it is located under the ground. It is considered to be the holiest site for worshiping. Not only Jerusalem but tourists from the whole country visit this site. The area of the western wall that is visible to the people is composed of 46 layers of different stones.
The stones from a different time period are used in its construction. In 1967, Israel dug below the ground of the wall, following the six-day war, exposing different levels of walls.
Hurva Synagogue
The Hurva Synagogue also known as Hurvat Rabbi Yehudah he-Hasid, a historic place located in Qatar of the old city of Jerusalem.it was founded by Judah_HeHasid_(Jerusalem) in the early 18th century and was destroyed a few years later in 1720 by Ottoman authorities. It was designed under the supervision of Assad Effendi, the Sultan's official Architect.
